The Cadillac CTS was a basic model in Cadillac lineup during its early years; but things changed pretty soon, and now the new Cadillac CTS is one of the promising vehicles in the market.
During the first-generation of Cadillac CTS, it was marketed as a midsize lavish sport sedan. It was produced in one trim and just one body style. It is designed with rear-wheel drive mechanism.
What’s New in 2010 CTS
The earlier version of CTS was motorized by a 5.7-liter V8 engine producing 400-hp. Other than CTS models, there were many similar sedan models that used the 6.0-liter V8 engine, which had virtually same performance as that of the Cadillac CTS.
The latest engine in the new Cadillac CTS uses limited-slip differential and a six-speed manual gearbox, though the absence of automatic transmission isn’t really appreciated by everybody. This sedan can speed up from 0 to 60 mph within five seconds.
Cadillac CTS Performance Improvements
The performance improvements went far ahead of the huge engine. The attractive highlights included a 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels along with performance tires, huge Brembo performance brakes, and tightened suspension. More delicate modifications were incorporated such as the hydraulic engine mounts and a stronger engine.
The standard device cluster was substituted with the improved computer readouts and dials. Additionally, there were satin and aluminum chrome accents mounted on the dashboard too.
